Re: release of the prisoners
Respected Sir,
Taking the reference of the Honorable Supreme Court direction on 23rd March, 2020. The honorable court had directed all states and Union Territories to set up 'High Level Committees' to determine the class of #prisoners who could be released on parole for four to six weeks. It also observed that the prisoners convicted of or charged with offences having jail term of up to seven years can be given parole to decongest jails.
Therefore it is a kind request please take appropriate action and direct to the each state/UT for immediate formation of High level Committee for the release of prisoners on parole and also to the prisoners who spend more than 20 years in Jail.
Thanking You
Sincerely Yours
Lenin Raghuvanshi
